Question 851706: Solve the system to find (u,v). Hint: x = 1/u and y = 1/v. Use x and y in the equations to solve. Once you solve for x and y, set those solutions equal to 1/u and 1/v, respectively, to find (u,v):
3/u+4/v =1
6/u-2/v=1

Hi,
3/u+4/v =1
6/u-2/v=1
x = 1/u and y = 1/v.
I. 3x + 4y = 1
II. 6x - 2y = 1 Multiplying EQ II. by 2 and adding to EQ I to eliminate y
15x = 3
x = 1/5 , u = 5

y = 1/10, v = 10
