Expressing x as a function of y (from the first equation) x = (-1 -2y)/3
How do I get my answer from this cause this is where Im getting confused
5(-1+2y)/3+4y = 0

multiply equation by 3

-5-10y+12y=0

Try Elimination Method.
Multiply the first equation by 2, and then subtract one equation from the other equation.
