The value of the coins is $1.85 0r 185¢
Cents makes sense:
10x + 5(26-x) = 185
5x = 55
x = 11, the number of dimes. Number of Nickels is 15.
CHECKING our answer***
10*11 + 5*15 = 110 + 75 = 185¢ 0r $1.85
