Question 809471: find the slope of a line containing a pair of points (3,1) and (-8,-5)
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x1 y1 x2 y2
3 1 -8 -5
slope m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
( -5 - 1 )/( -8 - 3 )
( -6 / -11 )
m= 6/11
The required line passes through both the points. So we select one point and plug it with the slope
