Question 803138: solve the linear inequality x/7+3x/14<2/7
Answer by waynest(281)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x/7) + (3x/14) < (2/7)
14(x/7) + 14(3x/14) < 14(2/7)
2x + 3x < 4
5x < 4
5x/5 < 4/5
x < 4/5
check:
(4/5)/7 + 3(4/5)/14 < 2/7
4/35 + 6/35 < 2/7
10/35 < 2/7
2/7 = 2/7
x must be less than 4/5
