Question 772030: My instructions say to graph the linear system & estimate the solution. Then check the solution algebraically. (Y equals form) & graph & tell the solution. I know the y form is obviously y=mx+b form. But I don't know how to get it in that form.
3x+5y=-4
2x-y=-7

Solve each equation for y and you have (after any simplifying) your y=mx+b form for each equation. Both equations so transformed will be a little easier to graph. Then read the intersection point from the graph. The y-intercepts are at "b" for each equation. The slope is "m" in each equation. See! Easy to graph!

To check algebraically, equate each formula for y and solve for the x coordinate...! You do the parts that I am not showing.
