Question 764876: How to know if the equation given are dependent, consistent and inconsistent without solving. What is the pattern?
Answer by MathLover1(20850) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You plot the equations in the graph and analyze them.
If their intersection is a single point, then the system is consistent (one solution).
If their intersection is a line, then the system is dependent (infinitely as many solutions).
If they have no intersection, then the system is inconsistent (has no solutions).
