Question 761473: what is -3>-3t+6
Answer by DrBeeee(684) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solve the given inequality
(1) -3 > -3t + 6
Add 3 to each side of (1) and get
(2) -3 +3 > -3t + 6 +3 or
(3) 0 > -3t + 9
Now add 3t to each side and get
(4) 3t > -3t + 3t + 9 or
(5) 3t > 9
Now divide each side by plus 3 and get
(6) 3t/3 > 9/3 or
(7) t > 3
Note that we never multiply or divide by a negative number, so we did not have to reverse the direction of the inequality.
Answer: t > 3
