What is the solution for x-y=1 and x=1/2y+2 in Solving Systems Using Substitution?
x - y = 1 , x = 1/2y + 2
1/2y + 2 - y = 1
-1/2y = -1
y = 2

x = 1/2y + 2
= 1/2(2) + 2
= 3
Checking
x - y = 1
3 - 2 = 1
1 = 1 --- true
x = 1/2y + 2
3 = 1/2(2) + 2
3 = 1 + 2
3 = 3 ---------> True

therefore x = 3 and y = 2
