Question 734551: Simplify the following expression: 2 (4x2)3 (y3)5
The answer is now the question is.....HOW do I even get there???
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(4x^2)^3 = (4^3)*(x^2)^3
(4x^2)^3 = 64*x^(2*3)
(4x^2)^3 = 64*x^6
-------------------
(y^3)^5 = y^(3*5)
(y^3)^5 = y^(15)
-------------------------------------------------------
2(4x^2)^3 * (y^3)^5
2(64*x^6) * (y^(15))
(2*64) * x^6 * (y^(15))
128 * x^6 * y^(15)
So that's why the answer is
