Write an equation for each statement

"Sarah has $3.50 in quarters and nickels."
.05n + .25q = 3.50

" She has 2 more quarters than nickels. "
q = n + 2, this means we can substitute (n+2) for q, right?

Using the first equation, .05n + .25q = 3.50, substitute (n+2) for q, find n
.05n + .25(n+2) = 3.50
.05n + .25n + .50 = 3.50
.30n = 3.50 - .50
.30n = 3
