2x-3y=9
2y=1-x or x=-2y-1
replace x in the first equation with(-2y-1) & solve for y.
2(-2y-1)-3y=9
-4y-2-3y=9
-7y=9+2
y=11/-7
y=-11/7 ans.
x=-2(-11/7)-1
x=22/7-1
x=22/7-7/7
x=15/7 ans.
Proof:
2*15/7-3(-11/7)=9
30/7+33/7=9
63/7=9
9=9
