Question 709160: Find an equation of the line perpendicular to x=-6 and passing through (4,7).
I know my slope is 1/6 and then I put it into point slope form
y-7=1/6(x-4)
I solve that to get it into slope intercept.
y-7=1/6x-4/6
y=1/6x-4/6+7/1(6/6)
y=1/6x+38/6 <----my answer.
Am I doing this right?

No your equation should have a slope of 0, not 1/6
Try it again and tell me what you get
