To write in slope-intercept form, you must get it in y form (with y on one side) and you must have a slope (m) and an intercept (b) in order to satisfy the equation y=mx+b.
Distribute the 4 among x+2
Subtract 2 from both sides
Now the equation is in slope-intercept form. In this case m=4 and b=6.
