Question 6911: Dear Sir/Madam,
I am confronted with the following problem:
"Find an exponential function of the form f(x) = a * e^(b/x) + c that has y-intercept (0,5), a horizontal asymptote y = 3, and whose graph passes through the point (4,10)."
I don't know how to use the fact that the function has a horizontal asymptote at y = 3 in order to solve this question. I know that the horizontal asymptote means that the function will never be equal to 3, but other than that, I don't know how to use it. Can you help me?

first thing Mike..you say b/x as the power. Is this correct? or do you mean bx or even x/b? I only ask because using (0,5), gives an infinite power.
