To find the point of intersection, we can graph the function.

Looking at the graph, the point of intersection is (-1, -3),x=-1 and y=-3

f(x) = g(x), f(x)=x+2 and g(x)=-x-4
-x - 4 = x + 2
-2x = 6
x = -3

f(x) = x + 2 , x = -3
f(x) = -3 + 2
f(x) = -1

or
g(x) = -x-4, x = -3
g(x) =-(-3) - 4
g(x) = 3-4
= -1
