Multiply both sides by 5x
x+4 = (-2/7)(5x)
x + 4 = -10/7x
x + 10/7x = -4
7/7x + 10/7x = -4
17/7x = -4
Multiply both sides by 7/17
x = -4(7/17)
x = -28/17
x = -1 11/17
