Question 625554: i am stuck.. the problem is .35x+.25y=.3(8)
x+y=8
y=-x+8
.35x+.25(-x+8+.3
.35x+.25x+2=2.4
.6x=2.4-2
i have to solve using linear equations of substitution...HELP PLEASE

Answer by Khukubabu(5)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.35x+.25y=.3(8)
or, 35x+25y=2400 (multiplying both side 100)
or, 35x-25x+200=2400
or, 10x=2200
or, x=220
so, y=(-212)
I think, here, .3(8)=.3*8
