Given an equation y = x -3
It is of the form y = mx +c
Where slope1 =1, c = -3
The slope of this equation is 1.
Since we are supposed to find the equation which is perpendicular to the given line.
Slope1 * slope 2 = -1
1* slope 2 = -1
Slope 2 = -1
Given point (4, 6)
The equation is given by
(y � y1) = slope2 * (x �x1)
(y � 6) = -1 (x -4)
(y - 6) = - x + 4
y = - x + 4 + 6
y = -x + 10
The equation for the line is y = -x + 10
