4/3(3x-1)-2x=8/3 solve for x.
first thing we have to do to solve this question is to expand the terms in the brackets.
(4/3)(3x)-(4/3)(1)-2x=8/3
next we simplify the equation
4X-1.333-2x=8/3
2x-1.333=8/3
now we add 1.3333 to each side
2x=4
we divide out 2 to isolate X
x=2
in this equation x is 2.
