Answer by TutorDelphia(193) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To solve we need to get in slope intercept form.
-6x - 1/3y = 6
add 6x to both sides
-1/3y=6x+6
Divide both sides by -1/3 (because we divide fractions by flipping and multiplying, this is the same as multiplying by -3)
y=-18x-18
So your intercept is -18.
The other way to do this is take -6x - 1/3y = 6 and give it an x value of 0 (since that's when we'll intercept the y axis)
-1/3y=6
y=-18
