Assume the problem is:
-x + 2%2F5 = 5 - 4%2F3x
Multiply by 15
15(-x) + 15*2%2F5 = 15(5) - 15*4%2F3x
cancel the denominators, multiply
-15x + 3(2) = 75 - 5(4x)
-15x + 6 = 75 - 20x
-15x + 20x = 75 - 6
5x = 69
x = 69%2F5
x = 13.8
