1st: 5x – 3y = 13
2nd: 4x – 3y = 11
Multiply 1st by -1 to get:
3rd: -5x+3y=-13
4th: 4x-3y=11
Add 3rd and 4th to get:
-x=-2
x=2
Substitute into 1st to get:
5(2)-3y=13
-3y=3
y=-1
Solution: x=-2, y=-1
