Question 480507: A restaurant manager wants to purchase 200 sets of dishes. One design costs $25 per set, while the other costs $45 per set. If the manager has $7,400 to spend, how many of each design should be ordered?
Answer by mathstutor494(120) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let restaurant manager purchase x units of design costing $25 per set and y units of costing $45 per set.
Since the manager has $7,400 to spend he can purchase below nos within budget
25x+45y =< 7400
Further, he wants to purchase total of 200 sets of dishes, so
x+y =< 200
Solving above 2 inequalities by graphical method results in
x= 80 and y=120
