Question 367497: I am having trouble finding the solution to
x+8y=6(1)
x=9-8y(2)
Can you please help this is my final question.

Answer by robertb(5830)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
By substitution of the bottom equation into the top equation, we get
(9-8y)+8y = 6.
This gives 9 = 6, a false statement. Therefore the system has no roots. It is an inconsistent system.
