Y=mX+b where m=slope & b=the Y intercept.
a.) Through (-1,-2) and (4,3)
m=(Y2-Y1)/(X2-X1)
m=(3+2)/(4-3)=5/1=5 ans.
-2=5*-1+b
-2=-5+b
b=-2+5
b=3 ans. for the Y intercept.
Y=5x+3 (red line)
b.) Through (-3,-5) slope -7/2
-5=-7/2*-3+b
-5=21/2+b
b=-5-21/2
b=-10/2-21/2=-31/2 the Y intercept.
Y=-7x/2-31/2 (green line).
