Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y = a*b*x
y is the total amount spent per month
a is the number of times they go out to eat.
b is the average cost per meal.
x is the number of people.
If you have 4 people and they go out 2 times a month and the average cost per meal, then:
a = 2
b = 30
x = 4
y = a*b*x = 2*30*4 = 60*4 = 240
Answer by josmiceli(19441) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Also,
(number of people)*(times going out to eat/month) = number of meals/month
