Hello,
x = 4y
2x + 3y = 44
We can plug the first equation into the second like this:
2(4y)+3y=44 Combine like terms to get:
11y=44 Divide both sides by 11 to get:
y=4
Now plug this into the first equation to get:
x=16
There we go. Check the answers in both equations.
