2a(3a-5b)-2b(6a-b)
to simplify you must distribute the numbers outside the parathensis to the numbers inside the parathensis. distribute means multiply.
multiply 2a x 3a that gives you 6a^2
mulitply 2a x -5b that gives you -10ab now you have 6a^2-10ab
multiply -2b x 6a that gives you -12ab
multiply -2b x -b that gives you 2b^2 now you have -12ab+2b^2
the whole equation is 6a^2-10ab-12ab+2b^2
just combine like terms.(like terms are numbers that have the same variable and the same exponent) the answer is 6a^2-22ab+2b^2
