Express u and v in terms of "t".
u = t-1
v = 2-t

Substitute into the 3rd equation so you can solve for "t":
(2-t) - (t-1) = 7
2-t-t+1 = 7
-2t + 3 = 7
-2t = 4
t = -2

Since u = t-1, u = -2-1 = -3
Since v = 2-t, v = 2--2 = 2+2 = 4

t = -2 ; u = -3 ; v = 4
