Carlos has recieved a 9% salary increase. if he now earns $327 per week, what was his salary before the increase?

A 9% increase makes it 109% of the amount before the increase.
109% = 1.09
$327 = 1.09*Amt
Amt = $327/1.09 = $300
$300 was his salary before the increase.
