This is an equation in two variables. As such it can't be solved for x and y at the same time. We can find pairs of x and y that satisfy the equation.
Pick an x and solve for y
the two best are usually when x=0 and when y=0
if x=0
y=2
(0,2)
when y=0 x=6
(6,0)
Plot those points and draw a line connecting them.
