Hello,
Let's first get x over to one side of the equal sign by adding 7x to both sides.
8x+10=-2 Now subtract 10 from both sides to give us:
8x=-12 Now divide both sides by 8 will be:
x=-12/8 or -1 1/2
Make sense?
