Let C = coke and S = sprite.
1.2C + .8S = 10.
You could solve for S as
S = (4/3)C + 12.5

Let
represent the number of containers of Coke purchased. Let
represent the number of containers of Sprite purchased. Convert all monetary amounts to cents (so that the relationship will have integer coefficients). Coke is then 120 cents per unit and Sprite is 80 cents per unit and the available funds are 1000 cents.
The amount expended for Coke is then the number of units of Coke purchased multiplied times the price per unit, to wit:
cents. Likewise, the amount expended for Sprite is
cents. The sum of these two amounts cannot exceed 1000 cents.
