Question 23176: I can't figure out these problems i keep getting different answers everytime i solve them.
Identify the type of system of equations for the system below:
2y=4-6x
3y+9x=6

Identify the system of equations which has no solution.
a. 5x+2y=4
2x-2y=10
b. -x=3y+1
x=3y-1
c. x-2y=-6
2x=4y-12
d. x=2y-1
2x=4y

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
One way to do this is to put all equations in the
form y=mx+b.
Some pairs of lines will turn out to have the same "m" and "b".
These lines are identicaland the system has an infinite number
of solutions.
Some pairs will have the same "m" and different "b".
These lines are parallel and the system has no solution.
Some pairs will have different "m". These lines
will intersect at some point, so they have a single point
solution.

try focusing on each step as you solve the equation. doing this will help your chances of finding out where you're going wrong, and maybe help the concept make more sense.
