Question 22652: What is the x - intercept for the function y = -5x + 9?
Answer by queenofit(120)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
to find the x intercept set y = to zero and slolve for x
to find the y intercept set x=0 and solve for y
you need x so
y=(-5(0))+9
y=9
your y intercept would be (0,9)
if you needed x intercept
0=-5x+9
5x=-9
x=-9/5
your x intercept would be (-9/5,0)
