Question 22639: Can someone tell me whether or not this equation is a linear equation in 2 variables> Can you explain this a little to me to. I don't really understand.
x = 5

a linear system is one that produces a straight line if you plot it on a graph...hence "linear"

Plot x=5, you do indeed get a straight line, a vertical line at, surprise surprise x=5.

As to whether it has 2 variables? It has one variable... x.

So x=5 is a linear equation in 1 variable.
