Find the midpoint of the line segment from (-1/4,1/2) to (-4,-3)
Find that averages of x and y separately
x: (-1/4 - 4)/2 = -17/8
Y: (1/2 - 3)/2 = -5/4
-->(-17/8,-5/4)

How do i Find the midpoint of the line segment from ( -1/4 , 1/2 ) to ( -4 , -3 )?
Step 1. Given two points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2), the midpoint is the average of the x- and y-coordinates. That is, the midpoint is or (xm, ym)
Step 2. Then, the midpoint is calculated as follows
Step 3. ANSWER: The midpoint is (-17/8,-5/4)
I hope the above steps were helpful.
