f(x)=-5x+3

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

f%28x%29=-5x%2B3

The difference quotient is the slope of the line that
contains the two points (x,f(x)) and (x+h,f(x+h))

And indeed because f%28x%29 is in the form f%28x%29=mx%2Bb

as we expected the slope to be m=-5
