6x=2x-11 you need to 'get the terms with x on one side and the constant on the other'
So subtract 2x from both sides
6x+-+2x+=+2x+-+11+-+2x you know that 2x-2x = 0
4x+=+-11 divide both sides by 4
4x%2F4+=+-11%2F4 you know that 4/4 = 1
x+=+-11%2F4
