A consistent and dependent system of linear equations will have an infinite number of solutions. Why? Remember that a consistent and dependent system of linear equations is simply a system in which one equation 'depends' on the other...or more simply, one equation is the other. So you'll find that dependent systems will have lines that overlap and intersect an infinite number of times.
