how to eliminate variables by using the addition method?.
3x-4y+4z=7
x-y-2z=2
2x-3y+6z=5
-----------------------
Put the 2nd equation in the 1st line.
---
x-y-2z=2
3x-4y+4z=7
2x-3y+6z=5
---------------
Add -3 times the 1st equation to the 2nd
Add -2 times the 1st equqtion to the 3rd
----
x-y-2z=2
0x-y+10z = 1
0x-y+10z = 1
------
Subtract 2nd equation from 3rd to get:
x-y-2z=2
0-y+10z=1
-------------
y = 10z-1
-------------
x + 1-10z -2z = 2
x-12z = 1
x = 12z + 1
----------------------
Solution:
x = 12z+1
y = 10z-1
z = z
