You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sol:
let the speed of the local train=x miles/hr
and speed of the express train= twice as fast as local=2x miles/hr
distance a head=50miles
time taken to travel x miles/hr=50/x
time taken to travel 2x miles/hr=50/2x
according to the problem diffference a head of their timings=1hour
50/x-50/2x=1
100-50/2x=1
50/2x=1
2x=50
x=50/2
x=25
2x=25*2=50
speed of local train=25 miles/hr
speed of express train=50 miles/hr
