A number increased by 2 thirds of the number 35 is?
Could someone show me how to work this out on paper
----------------
If I do it on paper, you won't be able to see it, so I'll do it online.
Call the number n to save typing.
n + n*(2/3) = 35 see that? n has (2/3) of n added to it
(5/3)*n = 35, or
5n/3 = 35
Multiply by 3 to get rid of fractions.
5n = 105
n = 21
