3/4x + 2 = 1/2x
Make both sides with the same denominator (4x) by making 2 as 8x/4x and 1/2x as 2/4x
3/4x + 8x/4x = 2/4x
Cancel the 4x throughout
3 + 8x = 2
8x = -1
x = -1/8
