Question 181314: What are the similarities and differences between functions and linear equations?
Answer by Mathtut(3670)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
every linear equation is a function but not vice versa.
:
There is one exception to this. The only linear equation that is not a function is a VERTICAL line, so any equation that takes the form of x=a is not a function.
:
they are more similar than different.
:
for example
:
y=mx+b
:
f(x)=mx+b
