SOLUTION: When you are graphing a system of linear inequalities why do you change the label on the line being graphed to an equation? ie, 3x+y>20 changes to 3x+7=20
on the graph.

ok first off.. if it is a Linear equation then it is always = . example. x+y=0
there is no way it can be changed in to an inequality. example. x+y<0
if it an EQUATION it is always =
if it is an INEQUALITY it is <, >, < or = to (< with a line under it), > or = to(> with a line under it). An inequalit can never just be =
