Question 16240: Please help I have tried this problem over and over.
22x + 2(3x+5)=66 where do you start first?

Answer by elima(1433)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
22x + 2(3x+5)=66
You want to start with distributing the 2;
2*3x+2*5=6x+10;
Now you have ;
22x+6x+10=66
Add like terms;
28x+10=66
Subtract 10 from both sides;
28x+10-10=66-10
28x=56
Divide both sides by 28;
=
x=2
Hope you understand
=)
