Question 159005: km+5x=6y, for m solve the equation for the variable specified
Answer by RegWill(1) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The object is to get "m" by it self.
km+5x=6y
Km+5x-5x=6y-5x
in order to do that you have to subtrack 5x from both sides
km=6y-5x
"m" is still not alone. Next divide by "k" on both sides.
km/k=6y-5x/k
Your answer is:
m=6y-5x/k
Tips: Just remember that what ever you do to one side of the equation you have to do to the other side.
