We have to find the slope of 3x + 5y = 8 with expressing this equation to form: y = mx + c; where m is the slope
3x+5y=8 -----------> 5y = -3x + 8 ------------>
so, we find
and then, use the formula : y - b = m (x - a)
Suppose (-1,7) as (a,b)and :
y - 7 =
y - 7 =
y - 7 =
y - 7 = ------------>multiply the side both with 5
5y - 35 = -3x - 3
5y + 3x - 35 + 3 = 0
5y + 3x - 32 = 0
